BIOGRAPHY

Enslin Vorster is a superb watercolourist who specialises in painting South African landscapes.

He was born in Boksburg and won a bursary to study at the Johannesburg School of Art.

He worked as an artist in the advertising industry and opened his own studio in 1968.

In 1984, he undertook a study tour of United States, followed by an exhibition in Newbury Port, Massachusetts the following year.

In 1992, he undertook a study tour of the United Kingdom.

In 1995, he moved to Clarins in the Free State where he opened his own gallery.

Vorster is mentioned in The Dictionary of South Africa Painters, published by Everard Read, and his work is held in many private, public and corporate collections, including Altech Electronic Systems, Standard Bank, the Transvaal Rugby Football Union and the SABC Art Collection.
