BIOGRAPHY

Gordon Legg is known primarily for his landscape and seascape paintings, particularly those depicting the Garden Route. He began his career as a commercial artist in Cape Town’s advertising industry before transitioning into fine art in 1974, and was active as a painter for many years, focusing on watercolour and acrylic mediums.

He has held numerous exhibitions, including his 70th solo exhibition at the Old Goal Gallery in Knysna, which featured 45 of his paintings. Legg has also exhibited his work internationally, including two exhibitions in London with the South African Watercolour Society.
