BIOGRAPHY
Jan Visser was a painter whose oeuvre consists mostly of landscapes, nudes, and the occasional flower study. Beyond structure and line, he looked for atmosphere in the landscape.
He began his artistic career under the guidance of Alfred Krenz, later completing his studies in Amsterdam.
In Paris and in Amsterdam he attended graphic workshops concentrating on etching.
He lectured at the Ruth Prowse Art School in the late 1980s.
Visser participated in more than 40 solo exhibitions – one in Spain – and numerous group exhibitions, including one that toured the United State and Europe.
