BIOGRAPHY

Verna Jooste is a South African artist recognised for her work in jewellery design and sculpture. She studied at the Natal Technikon (now Durban University of Technology), earning a Higher National Diploma in Jewellery Design. Jooste has exhibited her pieces at notable venues such as the Iziko South African National Gallery and the Johannesburg Art Gallery. Her works are included in both the SABC and Art Bank collections. She is an active maker and an educator, who has taught at Stellenbosch University’s Department of Visual Arts and at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She has also served as a curator for Design Indaba Expo.
